Big Al's Family Restaurant & Lounge
Tatamagouche is a small Village on the North Shore of Nova Scotia, extremely popular with tourists. The numbers swell in the summer months when seasonal residents arrive from all over Canada and the United States to enjoy the beautiful, warm waters of the Northumberland Strait and the laid-back charm of rural Nova Scotia.
Established in 1987, the Restaurant is situated right on the Trans Canada trail, offering beautiful scenery and safe travel for 4-wheelers, Snowmobiles and Hikers.
In 2012, Peter and Lorna Scott purchased the business from its original owner and invested heavily in renovations, updating the building and turning it into a licensed Family Restaurant, warm and welcoming to all.
Over the years, the menu has evolved, now serving in addition to traditional Canadian Fare, a number of home-made International dishes.
During the summer months, fresh Nova Scotia Lobster and Whole Clams are always popular, along with home-made burgers and crispy fish and chips.
During the winter months, we concentrate on home-style comfort dishes.
Thursday nights are our ‘All you can eat’ Wing night, where you can have a beer with your friends and enjoy unlimited wings.
On Friday evenings, we feature live music from well-respected local Artists, led by Dana Jefferson – booking for the music room is recommended.
We also have a large room which will seat up to 60 people (in normal circumstances), which is available to book for family functions, etc.
